Bill Lake began his standup career at age 53.

He has headlined at The National Comedy Center, and has featured at clubs up and down the East Coast opening for Dana Gould, Tom Green, Guy Branum, and Pete Correale among others. Bill has performed at numerous comedy festivals, including the Boston Comedy Festival, the Asheville Comedy Festival, and the Cleveland Comedy Festival. He was a finalist in the Buffalo's Funniest Competition at Helium Buffalo in 2021.

Bill’s short, sharp joke style keeps audiences guessing with twists that range from dark to playful to absurd.

Before beginning his standup career, Bill was a contributing monologue joke writer for the Late Show with David Letterman, the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.
